Do I need to find a flask with a glass interior lining, or does it even matter

l read on Wikipedia that silver or chromed metal flasks can not hold hard

liquor in them for more than three days, else the metal and rust will

bleed into the liquid. This is why many finer flasks are made with a glass

interior lining, so you can keep booze in there as long as you want.

However, all the flasks l can find are stainless steel, none of them

offering a glass interior lining.

I am aware that you cannot
be poisoned by anything that bleeds into the liquid from stainless steel,
but would it affect the taste at all? Do stainless steel flasks have the
same problem as other kinds of flasks? If so, do you know anywhere l can
order a SS flask with a glass lining?
The reason l do not leave it in
the original bottle is because it is too big to carry around with me. />
Anyone with direct experience with the issue?
Sorry, plastic
is to likely to break and leak. Also, it has absolutely no class.

So many of the people who write on Wikipedia are morons. If it

wasn't safe for its intended use, the seller or a document that came with

the flask would say so. Go to a store that sells flasks & ask them this

For my part, I've never heard of anyone who had a flask rust & I know a
lot of people with flasks who are definitely not reliable enough to
remember to empty the flask before 3 days are up.

I am pretty certain these flasks are lined with a clear resin that
protects the metal from the beverage. Just like the tin can with the
beans in it is protected from the beans, & vis versa.
